This includes both the current state, as well as a look into what to expect during the next couple of months and details about specific features like threads and spaces that many people are looking forward to on Element X. In the second part we’ll cover the intent and purpose behind the Element Pro apps - who are these for and why, and as part of it, look into how we’re allowing our customers to publish self-branded apps for a complete sovereign messaging solution.

Engineering background from the very early days of the 25-year career, and experience from numerous domains, including space, throughout the career. Passionate about ski racing as a hobby.
Doug is a senior software engineer at Element working as part of the iOS team on Element X, Element Pro and Compound. Outside of Matrix he can usually be found writing Swift, drinking tea and tinkering with anything audiovisual related.
